Arab Finance: Trade exchange between Egypt and Türkiye stood at around $7.1 billion in 2022, Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir announced on the sidelines of the 4th edition of the Türkiye-Africa Business and Economic Forum.

In a meeting with his Turkish counterpart, Samir mulled over ways of bolstering economic and commercial ties between Egypt and Türkiye over the coming period.

A Turkish delegation headed by Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat will visit Cairo on October 27^th and 28^th to discuss bilateral economic opportunities, Samir said.

Both sides also discussed the possibility of establishing branches of Turkish banks in Egypt as well as branches of Egyptian banks in Türkiye.
