Beko Egypt participates in 2nd edition of IMCE

Arab Finance: Beko Egypt for Home Appliances has taken part in the second edition of the International Manufacturing Convention and Exhibition (IMCE), according to an emailed press release.

During the IMCE, the company is showcasing its modern technologies and outstanding appliances.

Organized by the Federation of Egyptian Industries under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the IMCE is taking place from October 28th to 30th.

The second edition of IMCE targets backing economic empowerment, attracting new manufacturers from across 18 industrial sectors to optimize the country's capabilities.

"We are thrilled to participate in the prestigious IMCE, a remarkable event that showcases Egypt's industrial landscape, developmental capabilities, and the latest sector advancements," Ümit Günel, General Manager of Beko Egypt, commented.

Beko Egypt is planning to open its first factory in early 2024 on a 114,000-square-meter area in the industrial city of the 10th of Ramadan area, with investments of over $100 million.

The factory is set to have an annual production capacity of 1.5 million appliances, including refrigerators and ovens employing environmentally friendly and energy-saving technology in the initial phase.

The company intends to export up to 60% of its production capacity to Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, showcasing an annual export potential of about $250 million.
