Arab Finance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Monday’s trading session in the green zone, with the EGX30 index up 1.08% to 53,126.01 points.
Likewise, the Shariah index jumped by 0.80% to 5,957.71 points, and the EGX35-LV rose by 0.75% to 6,315.54 points.
Both the EGX70 index and the EGX100 index finished the session higher by 1.72% at 17,560.69 points and by 1.37% at 23,397.83 points, respectively.
A total of 3.700 billion shares were exchanged at EGP 12.130 billion over 258,502 transactions, while the market cap amounted to EGP 3.913 trillion.
Retail investors controlled 81.31% of trading transactions, while institutions equaled 18.68%.
The Egyptians dominated the trading with 88.99%, while Arab and foreign investors accounted for 3.56% and 7.34%, respectively.
Foreign investors were buyers with EGP 142.150 million, while Egyptian and Arab traders were net sellers with EGP 109.603 million and EGP 32.547 million, respectively.
