ِArab Finance: Egypt is seeking to deepen its partnership with the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) to support the country’s development and investment priorities, Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk said during a meeting with AIIB President Zou Jiayi.
Kouchouk said Egypt’s strategic location could enable it to play a central role in strengthening economic and investment links between Asia and Africa.
He added that the government is looking to expand cooperation with the AIIB on sustainable, climate-resilient infrastructure, with potential opportunities spanning the green transition, regional connectivity, and transportation projects.
Kouchouk also highlighted the importance of diversifying financing sources and instruments to support development efforts while lowering their costs.
