Arab Finance: The Egyptian government plans to allocate EGP 6 billion to disburse the third installment of outstanding export support payments in cash for shipments made before July 1, 2024, Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk said.

Applications from exporting companies seeking to benefit from the third installment under the government’s cash payment initiative will be accepted from August 16 through October 1, with payments to be disbursed on October 22.

Kouchouk noted that the government has paid more than EGP 80 billion to exporters over the past six years and plans to settle all outstanding export support payments within two years.

He added that EGP 48 billion has been allocated in the current state budget to accelerate export support, highlighting that export support reached EGP 28 billion in fiscal year (FY) 2025/2026, marking an annual increase of 55%.

Meanwhile, the government is coordinating with the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade to develop the export system and stimulate the export sector.

Nevin Mansour, Advisor to the Finance Minister for Economic Institutions Relations, highlighted that the government disbursed EGP 12.6 billion in cash to around 2,500 exporting companies during FY2025/2026.
