Arab Finance: Real estate developer Emaar Misr for Development is nearing the handover of the first phase of its Soul Luxury Beach Resort on the North Coast, where investments have exceeded EGP 112 billion, as per an emailed press release.
The company marked the approaching delivery with the first event held at the development, allowing a group of VIP clients to tour the project and view the progress of construction.
Emaar Properties founder and chairman Mohamed Alabbar hosted an exclusive dinner for the guests and other dignitaries inside three beachfront show villas. The properties feature interiors furnished by Ralph Lauren and Italian furniture brand Poltrona Frau. The event concluded with a concert by Lebanese singer Elissa.
Construction of Soul’s first phase is nearing completion, while around 60% of the structural work for the second phase has been finished, according to the company. Work is also underway on infrastructure, utility networks, roads, and landscaping.
“With investments exceeding EGP 112 billion, the Soul project embodies our vision to develop integrated coastal destinations that elevate the quality of life and meet the aspirations of new generations. The project is designed to combine world-class design, nature, high-end hospitality, and integrated services to offer a complete coastal experience that redefines seaside living in Egypt,” Alabbar said.
“At Emaar, we believe that the success of any project does not begin at its launch nor end at its handover, but rather is measured by its ability to become a vibrant destination that gains value over time. The progress we are witnessing today in Soul reflects our commitment to turning this vision into reality by developing an integrated destination that remains attractive to residents and visitors throughout the year,” he added.
Spanning 700 feddans, Soul is located about 45 minutes from El Alamein International Airport and 30 minutes from Marassi. Its master plan includes four natural beaches, a 2-kilometer beachfront, terraced lagoons, and the Soul Infinity Beach Elevated Lagoon.
Emaar Misr said it is seeking recognition from Guinness World Records for the lagoon as the world’s largest infinity pool. The claim has not yet been confirmed in Guinness World Records’ publicly available records.
The project will also offer hospitality and dining facilities, health and fitness amenities, beach cabanas, a pool bar, concierge services, and entertainment and wellness programs. Its master plan incorporates sustainability and smart-design principles and is intended to support year-round use.
Emaar Misr’s portfolio spans East and West Cairo, the North Coast, and the Red Sea. Its developments include Soul, Marassi North Coast, Marassi Red Sea, Belle Vie, Cairo Gate, Uptown Cairo, Mivida New Cairo, and Mivida Gardens.
