Arab Finance: The Egyptian Maintenance Company (EMC), known as San Misr, was awarded a new international contract with Italian energy company Eni for the Zubair oil fields in Iraq, according to a statement.
San Misr won the international tender following strong competition from several specialized companies, securing a three-year contract valued at approximately $18.6 million.
Under the agreement, San Misr will supply a wide range of electrical equipment and components required for production units and power stations at the Zubair oil fields in Basra Governorate.
The deal involves providing medium- and low-voltage equipment, distribution panels, motor control centers, and other electrical components serving various project facilities.
This comes as part of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ strategy to back the international expansion of Egyptian petroleum companies and strengthen their competitiveness in regional and global markets.
In June, the company won a 10-year international tender to carry out long-term maintenance for natural gas turbines at the Arab Potash Company’s power generation plant in Jordan.
