Arab Finance: Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Mohamed Farid held meetings with representatives of six French and international companies to discuss expansion and investment opportunities in Egypt.

The meetings gathered representatives from Roullier, Salins, Airbus, SEMMARIS, Mistral AI, and Rosetta Omics.

During his participation in the Egyptian French Business Forum in Paris, Farid highlighted recent developments in the Egyptian economy, noting that macroeconomic indicators have remained stable despite regional tensions.

He also outlined the government’s ongoing economic reform program, which focuses on enhancing the investment climate, streamlining procedures, and boosting the efficiency and competitiveness of investor services.

The state is also accelerating digitalization to strengthen governance and facilitate procedures covering company establishment, licensing, operations, production, and exports, while ensuring equal treatment for investors.

Talks focused on key sectors, including phosphate and fertilizer production, salt production and processing, aviation, agricultural and food logistics, and AI.

Farid said the ministry is coordinating with relevant government entities based on each project’s needs and development stage to support investment, production, exports, and local manufacturing.
