Arab Finance: Foras.ai has made a strategic investment in Founders Media, the parent company of WAYA Media, as the business news platform looks to expand its presence across Egypt, the Gulf, and the wider MENA region, as per an emailed press release.

The investment will be directed toward growing WAYA Media’s editorial and operational teams, strengthening its data-focused journalism capabilities, and developing additional video and content formats across its platforms.

Founded by Gamal Helmy and New York-based venture capital firm HOF Capital, which manages more than $7 billion in assets under management, WAYA Media operates a bilingual business and startup news platform serving founders, investors, and business professionals.

The company publishes content in both Arabic and English, covering venture capital, technology, financial markets, and regional economic developments.

Alongside its media platform, the company operates WAYA Works, a branded content division, and WAYA Studio, which provides editorial production services for clients across the region.

The transaction was advised and facilitated by Exits MENA, an investment advisory firm focused on startups and small and medium-sized enterprises. Foras.ai is also a shareholder in Exits MENA.

Beyond providing capital, Foras.ai is expected to support WAYA Media's commercial expansion efforts. Founded by Mohamed Aboulnaga (Nagaty), the company will work with WAYA Media to strengthen its presence within the regional business ecosystem and support business development initiatives across WAYA Works and WAYA Studio.

The partnership is also expected to help expand the company's network of clients across Egypt and Gulf markets as it continues to broaden its coverage and content offerings.

According to the companies, the collaboration reflects their focus on supporting bilingual business and startup media tailored to founders, operators, investors, and professionals across the MENA region.
