Arab Finance: Korra Energi-HIDELECO consortium has submitted the lowest-priced bid in a limited tender for the expansion of the Safaga 22/66/11 kV transformer substation, as per a disclosure.
The project covers the supply of conventional 66 kV air-insulated switchgear (AIS) and related low-voltage equipment, excluding the supply of the main transformers.
The alliance ranked first among the competing bidders after submitting the lowest offer. The consortium's total bid comprises EGP 963.16 million and $2.60 million.
Meanwhile, the bids are under financial and technical review by the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC), with the final award subject to the completion of the financial analysis and a decision by the tender adjudication committee.
The listed company recently entered a strategic partnership with Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems Corporation (TMEIC) to supply power and automation systems for data centers and industrial customers in Egypt and the wider region.
