Arab Finance: Private sector employees will have a five-day holiday from Thursday, March 19th, until Monday, March 23rd, on the occasion of Eid El-Fitr, Minister of Labor Hassan Raddad announced.
Raddad noted that business owners may require employees to work during this holiday if needed.
In this case, the employee is entitled to receive double their regular pay for that day.
The announcement aligns with the state’s objectives to unify official holiday dates for all employees across sectors.
Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly recently declared the same period an official holiday for employees in ministries, government departments, public authorities, local administration units, and public sector companies.
