Egypt’s engineering exports climbed 9% year-on-year (YoY) in 2022, hitting $3.8 billion from $3.49 billion in 2021.   

Machinery topped the list of the sub-sectors of the Egyptian engineering exports with 104% YoY growth, followed by metal formation with a growth rate of 98.9% YoY, and then pumps and engines with a YoY growth rate of 75.8%. 

Cables were the third in the sub-sectors of the Egyptian engineering exports with 25.6% YoY growth rate, followed by electrical and electronic Industries with an 18.4% YoY growth rate.
