The UAE had the highest GDP per capita in the Arab world in 2023 at $53,000, followed by Kuwait with $37,500 and Bahrain at $29,100, as per data from the World Bank.
Saudi Arabia's GDP per capita was $28,900, and Oman reported $23,300.
Libya had $7,300, Iraq $5,500, and Algeria $5,300.
Jordan's GDP per capita stood at $4,500, Tunisia’s at $3,900, and Morocco’s at $3,700.
Djibouti reported $3,600, Egypt $3,500, and Palestine and Lebanon had $3,400, each.
Egypt seeks to achieve a primary surplus of 3.5% of gross domestic product (GDP) during the current fiscal year (FY) 2024/2025.
