Over the next five years, Egypt is set to make significant payments to the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Starting with $4.16 billion in 2024, the amount will rise to $5.3 billion in 2025.
Then, payments will drop to $2.74 billion in 2026 and further decrease to $1.85 billion in 2027.
By 2028, the payment will repay $1.18 billion to the IMF.
Egypt received the third tranche worth $820 million of the IMF $8 billion Extended Fund Facility (EFF) arrangement on August 1st.
