Beko Egypt’s Umit Gunel takes on expanded role as Regional Director for North West Africa

Arab Finance: Beko Egypt has extended the responsibilities of its General Manager Umit Gunel to serve as the Regional Director for Beko in North West Africa, according to an emailed press release.
This move is part of the company's strategy to expand its operations in the Middle East and Africa and lead the home appliances market by introducing high-quality innovative technologies to the region.
As the General Manager of Beko Egypt since 2021, Gunel has quickly led the company to become one of the top brands in the home appliances sector in Egypt.
He spearheaded Beko's efforts to establish a regional manufacturing center at the industrial city in the 10th of Ramadan.
Spans an area of 114,000 square meters, the center has been built with investments worth $100 million and is set for inauguration in the coming months.
The is planned to produce 1.2 million units in its first phase, with over 60% of the production destined for global markets.
