SolarizEgypt to build 2nd phase of El Gouna’s solar plant

Arab Finance: El Gouna city has signed a cooperation agreement with SolarizEgypt to establish the second phase of the solar power plant in the city with investments of around EGP 200 million, as per an emailed press release.

The project’s second phase will have a production capacity of 7.2 megawatts (MW), with the aim of bringing it up to 14 MW.

The project’s total capacity is estimated at 32,000 MW per year.

The second phase is expected to be launched by the fourth quarter (Q4) of the current year under a power purchase agreement (PPA).
