Arab Finance: Egypt-based Eva Pharma Animal Health, a subsidiary of the pharmaceutical firm Eva Pharma, is targeting establishing an EGP 1.8 billion industrial park for the production of veterinary vaccines in Egypt, the company’s Director General Ahmed Waked told Asharq Business.

Waked revealed that the project will be implemented in four phases, which are set to be finalized in 2030.

The company has established the park’s first phase on an 8,000-square-meter area in Sixth of October city with EGP 980 million worth of investments, Waked noted.

The project’s first phase was carried out for the production of avian flu vaccines, which will be rolled out in the local market in May, he added.

Waked highlighted that the project aims to meet 25% of the local market’s demand for veterinary vaccines.

Furthermore, he stated that the company is planning to raise the plant’s overall production capacity to 2.4 billion doses annually, compared to the current 1.2 billion doses, to meet the needs of the local market and export 50% of production by 2028.

On a related note, Waked said that his company is currently working on meeting the technical requirements for exporting veterinary vaccines from the new industrial park to Saudi Arabia by early 2025.
