Orascom Development, Sigma Properties to reopen Byoum hotel in Fayoum

Arab Finance: Orascom Development has signed a partnership agreement with Sigma Properties for upgrading and re-opening a hotel in Fayoum, according to an emailed press release.
The hotel will be officially inaugurated in October 2025 under the name of Steigenberger Lake side Resort – Byoum.
Steigenberger Lake side Resort – Byoum is poised to play a pivotal role in the development of Fayoum on a large scale as the governorate is an UNESCO-recognized international historical site.
As per the deal, the hotel is set to include two additional annexes to increase the number of rooms to around 108 from 62 now.
It is also planned to encompasses playgrounds, halls for hosting parties, meetings, and special events, as well as commercial units and a health club.
Orascom will supervise the construction works, whereas H World International’ Steigenberger Hotels and Resorts will operate the hotel.
The set-for-renovation hotel will be designed based on the contemporary boho theme.
