ExxonMobil hosts conference on digital transformation in petroleum sector

Arab Finance: ExxonMobil Egypt hosted a conference on digital transformation in the petroleum sector and efforts towards implementing sustainable energy solutions, according to an emailed press release on May 28th.

The conference was held in collaboration with the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), and owners and operators of Mobil-branded fuel stations.

The event focused on discussing advanced technological systems and strategies that pave the way for more efficient and sustainable energy industries in Egypt.

Discussions at the conference revolved around digital transformation in the petroleum sector and the e-financing system for distributing petroleum products.

The truck tracking system and its benefits in terms of operational efficiency and security have been also presented at the conference.

"Over the past five years alone, more than 30 Mobil stations have been opened in Greater Cairo, Alexandria, Upper and Lower Egypt, and new cities. The expansion plan continues with 18 new stations currently under construction," Sherif Serageldin, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, ExxonMobil Egypt, said.

ExxonMobil Egypt reaffirmed its commitment to supporting digital transformation initiatives and sustainable energy in the petroleum sector.
