SCZone, Customs Authority signs cooperation protocol to automate customs services

Arab Finance: The General Authority of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) has signed a cooperation protocol with the Egyptian Customs Authority to implement a comprehensive mechanization system for the logistical hub of the zone and its associated projects, as per a statement.

Under this agreement, SCZone, in collaboration with its business partners, is set to establish a logistics center equipped with information and communications technology infrastructure to ensure seamless operations.

Moreover, the protocol includes provisions for training personnel from both the SCZone and the customs authority, as well as other relevant entities, on the utilization of these new automated systems.

SCZone's Head Waleid Gamal El-Dein emphasized the zone's commitment to fostering partnerships and cooperation with various state authorities to cultivate a competitive and attractive environment for investments, particularly in logistical services and the digitalization of investor services.
