UK’s Harbour Energy acquires Wintershall Dea’s concessions in Egypt’s Nile Delta, Mediterranean

Arab Finance: The UK-based Harbour Energy PLC has signed an agreement to acquire the offshore concession areas owned by Germany’s Wintershall Dea in Egypt’s Nile Delta and the Mediterranean Sea, according to a statement on June 2nd.

It is worth noting that Harbour Energy makes its debut in the Egyptian market via this agreement.

The signing followed a meeting held by the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El-Molla and Harbour Energy’s CEO Linda Cook.

During the meeting, Cook noted that her company is looking forward to pumping new investments into the Egyptian petroleum sector as well as expanding its business in the country’s energy sector.
