Gypto Pharma, US’s Abbott partner to promote pharmaceutical industry localization in Egypt

Arab Finance: Egypt’s medicine city Gypto Pharma has signed a strategic partnership agreement with the US-based healthcare firm Abbott to boost the localization of pharmaceutical manufacturing in Egypt, as per a statement.

The deal also aims to provide locally manufactured high-quality medicines to citizens at affordable prices.

Furthermore, it covers the manufacturing of 155 million packs of six types of pain killers and antibiotics at Gypto Pharma within five years, using 9% of the Gypto Pharma’s production capacity, Egyptian Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar said.
