Arab Finance: Egypt’s annual core inflation rate recorded 26.6% in June, compared to 27.1% in May, the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) announced.
The monthly core consumer price index (CPI) inflation recorded 1.3% last June, compared to 1.7% in the same month of 2023 and -0.8% last May, the CBE stated.
The data also showed that the annual urban headline inflation rate registered 27.5% in June, compared to 28.1% in May.
On July 10th, the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) announced that Egypt's annual headline inflation eased to 27.1% in June, compared to 27.4% in May.
