Egypt, Serbia sign free trade agreement

Arab Finance: Egypt and Serbia have sealed a free trade agreement to strengthen bilateral economic and trade cooperation, according to a presidency statement on July 13th.

The signing came on the sidelines of a meeting between the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic during the latter’s visit to Cairo.

The agreement has been under negotiation between Egypt and Serbia for two years; it was initially disclosed during El-Sisi's 2022 visit to Serbia.

Moreover, both leaders have witnessed the signing of 10 other cooperation in several fields.

The meeting has also tackled various international and regional issues, including the Ukrainian crisis, the developments in Sudan and Libya, and the current conflict in the Gaza Strip.
