Egypt's strategic wheat reserves sufficient for 7 months: Supply Minister

Arab Finance: Egypt's strategic reserves of wheat supplies are expected to last for approximately 7 months, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Sherif Farouk told Asharq Business.

He added that the country's strategic reserves of vegetable oil and sugar are sufficient for 6 months and 19.5 months, respectively.

The Egyptian government is planning to scale up the country’s strategic reserve of basic commodities to be sufficient for nine months instead of six months.
