Arab Finance: Egypt is targeting to attract around 15 million visitors by the end of 2024, Asharq Business reported, quoting Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathy.

The country was previously expected to receive 16.5 million tourists this year.

Fathy noted that the geopolitical challenges Egypt faces have a negligible impact on tourism.

He also revealed that tourists from 104 countries have visited New Alamein city this year.

It is worth noting that Egypt received a record-breaking number of tourists in 2023, reaching 14.906 million people in 2023, which surpassed a previous record of 14.731 million tourists in 2010.
