El-Sisi extends Hassan Abdalla’s term as CBE’s governor for another year

Arab Finance: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has reappointed Hassan Abdalla as the Acting Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) for another year as of August 18^th, according to a Presidential decree published by the Official Gazette.

On August 18th, 2022, El-Sisi issued a decree appointing Abdallah as the CBE’s acting governor, after the resignation of Tarek Amer, the central bank’s former governor.
