Arab Finance: Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) Waleid Gamal El-Dien explored potential cooperation in several sectors, particularly the automotive industry, with Great Wall Motors, CNBM Co. Ltd, and Jushi Group, as per a statement.

At the China-Africa Cooperation Forum (FOCAC) in Beijing, The discussions centered on establishing a specialized industrial zone on around 5 million square meters in Ain Sokhna, focusing on renewable energy and green technologies.

Great Wall Motors, known for its substantial annual production capacity and advancements in electric and green-fuel vehicles, showed interest in establishing a manufacturing base in Egypt.

Gamal El-Dien assured the company of full support to facilitate its investment decision.

Additionally, Gamal El-Dien met with representatives from Jushi to discuss expanding their operations within the SCZone.

FOCAC provides a key platform for strengthening Egypt-China partnerships, addressing African continent challenges, and improving industrial and logistical capabilities through enhanced cooperation and investment.
