Arab Finance: Egypt and Italy have probed bolstering cooperation between the Egyptian petroleum sector and Italian firms in the sectors of energy and mining, as per a statement.
This came during a meeting between the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi and the Italian Ambassador to Egypt Michele Quaroni.
For his part, Badawi noted that Egypt is committed to fostering collaboration with Italian companies in the areas of energy production and development of the country’s oil and natural gas resources.
He referred to available cooperation opportunities in the fields of petrochemicals, green energy, and mining.
On the other hand, Quaroni expressed his country’s interest in cooperating with Egypt in the mining industry, noting that forging partnerships with Egypt as an African country is a top pririty for the Italian government.
Quaroni also mulled over investing in projects on the manufacturing of mining materials to maximize their added value.
Moreover, the Italian government showed interest in cooperating with Egypt in the field of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production, Quaroni noted.
