Arab Finance: Egypt’s external debt dropped to $152.885 billion at the end of June 2024, compared to $164.728 billion at the end of June 2023, according to data by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).
Meanwhile, the country’s long-term debt recorded $126.86 billion at end-June, while the short-term debt hit $26.025 billion.
It is worth noting that Egypt's external debt saw its biggest drop in history at the end of May, decreasing by over $14.17 billion from $168.03 billion in December 2023.
