Arab Finance: Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Alaa Farouk presented the ministry’s initiatives to bolster food security and achieve sustainable development during a general session of the House of Representatives, as per a statement.
The session, led by Speaker of the Parliament Hanfy El-Gebaly, highlighted the government’s efforts to support land reclamation and develop desert areas to expand the country's agricultural capacity.
Farouk emphasized that these initiatives are integral to increasing the crop area and improving self-sufficiency in strategic crops.
He noted that new agricultural urban communities are being established, which not only expand the agricultural sector but also create job opportunities and open new investment avenues.
