Arab Finance: Egypt has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) to renew its OECD country program until 2025 instead of 2024, as per a statement.
The MoU was signed by the Egyptian Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation Rania Al-Mashat and the Secretary-General of the OECD Mathias Cormann on the sidelines of the Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group in Washington.
The renewal of the MoU contributes to the continuous implementation of structural reforms and ensures the execution of all recommendations and planned projects to back reforms in these critical areas, Al-Mashat said.
She added that the program includes 35 projects across five main pillars, including inclusive and sustainable economic growth, innovation and digital transformation, governance and anti-corruption, enhancing statistics, and sustainable development.
