Arab Finance: The digital solutions manufacturer DAF has signed a cooperation protocol with the numbering firm GS1 Egypt to launch the drug tracking project to guarantee the efficacy and safety of medicines in Egypt, as per a statement.

The protocol is part of the country’s efforts to regulate the drug market and address the challenges facing the health sector.

These challenges include combating counterfeit and non-compliant medications, hindering the illicit distribution of drugs via a tracking system, and ensuring the availability of high-quality medicines in the market.

This would boost the transparency and security of the country’s drug system.
