FRA licenses Standard Chartered to operate as custodian bank

Arab Finance: The Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) has granted Standard Chartered a license to operate as a custodian bank, as per a statement.

This is part of the FRA’s efforts in setting policies and plans and issuing regulations required to ensure the stability of markets and non-banking financial institutions.

In January, Standard Chartered officially launched its operations in Egypt after obtaining the final approval from the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).
