Egypt, Italy to operate RoRo shipping line end-November

Arab Finance: A new roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) line shipping line connecting Egypt’s Damietta Port with Italy’s Port of Trieste is set to be operational by the end of November, Al Mal New reported, citing the Italian Ambassador to Egypt Michele Quaroni.

The line marks Italy’s first direct maritime connection with Africa, Quaroni said.

It aims to facilitate the transport of agricultural commodities between Egypt and Italy, he added.
