Supply Ministry inks contracts for major commercial projects in Sharkia, Beni Suef

Arab Finance: The Egyptian Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade has signed agreements to establish three new commercial centers and projects in Sharkia and Beni Suef, a venture estimated at EGP 4.8 billion, as per a statement.

These initiatives are expected to expand the country’s retail and service infrastructure while boosting local employment and economic growth.

The projects will encompass a variety of facilities, including wholesale markets, hypermarkets, government service centers, social clubs, and recreational areas.

They include the development of El-Karimat land in Beni Suef, which covers 47 feddans, with investments of approximately EGP 3.8 billion, generating 30,000 direct and indirect jobs.

This center will feature a wholesale market, a social club, conference facilities, training centers, and service stations.

Another significant development, the Ice Factory Land project in Beni Suef, which occupies 2,350 square meters and involves around EGP 400 million in investments, creating 1,000 job opportunities.

A third site, Al-Asluji land in Sharkia, spans 4 feddans with projected investments of about EGP 600 million, expected to provide 2,500 job opportunities and include various commercial and dining facilities.

These projects are scheduled for completion within two years.
