Arab Finance: Egypt and Cyprus have probed fostering cooperation and boosting investments in the field of renewables, as per a statement.

This came during a meeting between the Egyptian Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mahmoud Esmat and the Cypriot Ambassador to Cairo Polly Ioannou.

During the meeting, both sides also followed up on the electrical interconnection project between Egypt and Cyprus.

In September, it was reported that the Egyptian government, in collaboration with the Cypriot government, was looking to establish a 90-kilometer-long underwater pipeline connecting the Cypriot Aphrodite offshore gas field to the offshore production facilities of Egypt’s Zohr gas field.
