Arab Finance: The Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, alongside the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Kristalina Georgieva and the Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Hassan Abdalla, will hold a press conference on Sunday, November 3rd, at the cabinet headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.
This event comes as part of the IMF Director's official visit to Egypt, underscoring ongoing economic cooperation between the nation and the global financial institution.
He expressed hope that this visit would advance the government’s efforts toward sustainable development, a focus that aligns with his broader mandate as the UN Secretary-General's envoy for financing sustainable development.
Previously, Madbouly highlighted the importance of Georgieva’s visit, set against a backdrop of regional instability, including rising tensions between Israel and Iran. "Our main concern is to avoid any escalation that could lead to a regional conflict, with potentially significant consequences," he said.
