Arab Finance: The New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) and a consortium comprised China State Construction Engineering Corporation’s (CSCEC) umi and IGI Developments signed the management and operation of the Central Business District (CBD) in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital, as per a statement.
With the imminent completion of the district’s towers, the Chinese-Egyptian alliance will take charge of the district’s operational aspects, collaborating with CSCEC and Dar Al-Handasah to ensure smooth handover and testing of the facilities.
Minister of Housing and Utilities Sherif El-Sherbiny highlighted the project’s emphasis on local labor, with the consortium committed to implementing professional training programs in line with Egypt’s human development initiatives.
The CBD, comprising 20 towers, includes administrative, commercial, residential, and hospitality spaces.
Notably, it features the iconic tower, Africa’s tallest structure at 400 meters, with mixed-use facilities such as offices, hotel apartments, and a new international hotel brand making its debut in Egypt and Africa.
The iconic tower will host 40 floors of office space, 10 floors of hotel apartments, and 30 hotel floors, totaling 266,000 square meters.
