Eastern Company sets new cigarette prices

Arab Finance: Eastern Company’s board has set new prices for its cigarette products, applicable as of Tuesday, November 5^th, as per a statement.

Under the new price list, the price of all its 20-cigarette Cleopatra packs, including Cleopatra Box and Cleopatra Soft, stands at EGP 38.75.

The price of Viceroy and Pall Mall has been set at EGP 60 a pack, while the price of the 10-cigarette pack of Cleopatra Box has been set at EGP 27.

The company ascribed the increase in prices to surging cost of manufacturing resulted from the change in the US dollar exchange rate against the Egyptian pound and higher prices of tobacco and non-tobacco raw materials, as well as the cost of shipping due to the current logistical situation.
