Egypt, Djibouti pen MoU for port, transport, energy infrastructure developments

Arab Finance: Egypt’s Holding Co for Maritime and Land Transport and Djibouti Ports and Free Zones Authority (DPFZA) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at developing key infrastructure projects in Djibouti, as per a statement.

These projects include the development of ports, the construction of roads, setting up a logistics zone, and establishing plants for new and renewable energy.

The Egyptian Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport Kamel El-Wazir underscored the readiness of Egyptian companies, which have successfully executed large-scale projects in Egypt and Arab and African nations, to undertake similar initiatives in Djibouti.

For his part, head of DPFZA praised the successful Egyptian experience in implementing infrastructure projects across in land, rail, and maritime transport over the few past years.
