Arab Finance: CI Asset Management, a subsidiary of CI Capital for Financial Investment, has launched Egypt’s first-ever sector equity fund, the “Sector” multi-issue fund, as per an emailed press release to Arab Finance on November 11th.
Subscription for the fund will begin on Monday, November 11th, and will remain open for two months.
This fund targets investors seeking to invest in specific sectors and diversifying investment within these sectors, as well as in companies listed on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) within a particular industry.
The fund will feature five sectoral issues: CI Real Estate and Construction, which targets companies in real estate, construction, and related industries; CI Technology and Communications, focused on IT, fintech, and telecom firms; CI Export, dedicated to companies with significant export revenues.
The issues also involve CI Consumer, which includes businesses in the consumer goods and essential services sector such as food, medicine, and healthcare, and CI Money and Digital Payments, which will focus on financial institutions and companies in digital payments.
