Arab Finance: Vice President for Africa of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) Sérgio Pimenta is visiting Egypt on November 24th, according to a press release.
The visit aims to confirm the IFC’s commitment to supporting Egypt’s economic development by reinforcing private sector involvement.
During his visit, Pimenta will meet with key government officials, including Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation Rania Al-Mashat.
They are set to discuss and explore new opportunities for further economic growth aligned with Egypt’s Asset Monetization Program.
Moreover, Pimenta will meet with private sector leaders and sign a number of agreements to advance climate finance, sustainable tourism, and access to finance for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).
Since it started operations in Egypt in 1975, IFC has invested and mobilized $9 billion in development projects in the country and has an advisory portfolio of $24 million.
