Arab Finance: The National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) has officially launched the eSIM technology in Egypt, following the completion of necessary technical tests by the country’s four mobile operators, as per a statement on December 5th.
The eSIM, an embedded chip within mobile devices, allows users to switch between mobile operators without the need for a physical SIM card.
Its built-in nature enhances security, reducing the risk of theft or misuse.
Users can activate new numbers or transfer existing ones to the eSIM without service disruption, offering greater flexibility and convenience.
As part of the launch, NTRA has released a comprehensive guide to help users understand and utilize the new service effectively.
