Arab Finance: A signing ceremony of financing agreements, including a €30 million debt swap agreement, will highlight the first Egyptian-German Development Cooperation Day, as per an emailed press release.
The Egyptian-German Development Cooperation Day will be hosted by the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Egypt Jürgen Schulz on December 15th, 2024.
This event will bring together key representatives from government bodies, international organizations, the private sector, and civil society.
Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Environment Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Education and Technical Education Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hani Sewilam will attend the event.
Held under the theme “Partnerships for a Just Transition,” the day highlights the significance of social equity and economic resilience in the shift towards a green economy.
The event aims to explore fruitful collaborations and opportunities between Egypt and Germany for a sustainable future.
Projects carried out by GIZ and KfW on behalf of the German Government will be also discussed to pave the way for collaborative efforts in driving sustainable change.
