Egypt to cultivate 3.1 million feddans of wheat during 2024/25 season

Arab Finance: Egypt will cultivate 3.1 million feddans of wheat during the 2024-2025 season, a slight decrease from the 3.25 million feddans planted the previous season, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Alaa Farouk told Asharq Business.

Egypt's wheat imports increased by 17% in the first nine months of 2024, reaching a total of $3.36 billion, compared to $2.86 billion during the same period last year.
