Arab Finance: Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El-Khatib and the EU Ambassador-designate to Egypt Angelina Eichhorst discussed ways to enhance mutual trade and investment cooperation, according to an official statement.
The meeting focused on developing economic relations and creating a more competitive trade environment that contributes to achieving common interests.
They also addressed the required steps to reduce trade barriers and boost the quality of mutual products, which drive market access opportunities for both sides.
The minister stressed the importance of strengthening joint efforts to attract more European investments to the Egyptian market.
Additionally, El-Khatib emphasized the significance of maintaining a stable trade environment, as well as improving infrastructure and developing logistics services to facilitate inter-trade movement with the European Union.
On her part, Eichhorst affirmed that the EU seeks to foster trade and investment cooperation with Egypt by building an inclusive trade environment that serves the interests of both parties.
