GPC plans to drill 41 new wells in key regions

Arab Finance: The General Petroleum Co (GPC) is planning to drill 41 new wells in the Eastern and Western Deserts and the Gulf of Suez to explore and produce oil and natural gas, according to a statement by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.

In the first half (H1) of the current fiscal year (FY) 2024/2025, the company has drilled 17 production wells and upgraded and re-completed 40 others.

This was announced during the company’s meeting to approve the investment and planning budget, with the presence of Minister of Petroleum Karim Badawi..
