El-Khatib explores Archer Aviation's investment plans in Egypt at WEF

Arab Finance: Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El-Khatib has met with Adam Goldstein, Founder and CEO of Archer Aviation, to discuss the company’s investment plans in Egypt, according to an official statement.

During his participation in the 55th annual World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting in Davos, El-Khatib explored the possibility of establishing manufacturing facilities or research centers for Archer Aviation in Egypt.

The minister added that such plans would anchor the country's position as a regional hub for aviation and technology, creating new job opportunities.

He also noted that cooperation opportunities between Archer Aviation and Egypt's airports and air infrastructure to deploy electric aircraft into the national transport system were also tackled. This move would contribute to improving urban mobility and reducing congestion.

Moreover, El-Khatib and Goldstein discussed the possibility of leveraging the company's advanced technologies in autonomous flight and AI-based operations to enhance innovation in Egypt through cooperation with local tech firms and research institutions.
