Orascom Financial Holding rebrands to OB Financial Holding following shareholder approval

Orascom Financial Holding rebrands to OB Financial Holding following shareholder approval

Arab Finance: Orascom Financial Holding will now operate under the name OB Financial Holding after its extraordinary general assembly (EGM) approved the change, according to an Egyptian Exchange (EGX) disclosure.

The rebranding follows B Investments’ acquisition of a 70% stake in Orascom Financial Holding through a share swap.

The transaction saw shareholders tender around 3.3 billion shares in response to B Investments’ mandatory tender offer (MTO) for up to 90% of the company.
